Summary:
The Purchasing Analyst will ensure cost effective and timely materials delivery for efficient plant operations. This individual will focus primarily on MRO to support production requirements while identifying and executing sourcing strategies and materials management plans.
Responsibilities:Prepare, issue, and monitor purchase orders
Identify and implement cost reduction strategies and supplier performance programs
Develop and implement MRO-related programs to reduce line downtime
Identify and implement best practices in supply chain
Develop SAP system and capabilities within MRO related procurement; lead all aspects of SAP related tracking and report from initial sourcing to spend maps
Provide SAP training within the procurement department and cross-functionally on MRO-related best practices
Qualifications:Bachelors degree in business, supply chain, or a related field OR equivalent experience in MRO management, procurement, and related supply chain functions required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in MRO and procurement experience in a professional purchasing role required; project management experience highly preferred
Strong background and experience with SAP in a supply chain environment required
Proven results in sourcing initiatives, cost reductions, and improving supplier performance
Ability to lead cost analysis process, develop concise and comprehensive reports, present proposed next steps with supporting rationale, and execute the plan
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead through influence in a cross-functional environment
