Your roleJoin PC Indiana as an Industrial Engineer where you will implement a Lean Manufacturing concept / process on the existing production facility.
You will also be an active member of the new product development (NPD) process, to introduce new parts, in due time.
As part of the Engineer team, you will report to the Methods Engineer and work with operations and Engineering onsite in Michigan City, IN.
Main responsibilitiesYou will focus on meeting our KPI's.
Analyze workstations to eliminate work related injuries5S implementation and supportImplement PokaYoke solutions through electric/DC tools and operator guidance systems.
Provide SOPs for process standardization and training to new operators.
Identify automation projects to improve safety, quality and delivery.
Support in maintaining and improving the QMS and ISO 9001 certificationDesign Flexible production setup & tools able to assemble different productsReduce rework by an active root cause analysis from first time right issuesEnsure equipment / tools maintenance to avoid line stoppageDesign a world class line balancing, with the lowest Throughput time, with use of techniques like AVIX, and the design of the most efficient & ergonomic stations, allowing different combination according to the volumes seasonality.
