We are currently seeking an experienced public accounting professional with a Tax or Audit background for an exciting leadership opportunity in Michigan City, Indiana! The Director will play a pivotal role in managing client relationships and ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit, tax, and advisory services for our Michigan City office.
Essential Functions and Primary Duties Oversee Tax/Audit engagements and serve as the primary point of contact for a diverse portfolio of clientsBuild and maintain strong client relationships based on trust and exceptional serviceLead and mentor a team of managers, staff, and administrative professionals fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growthExpand revenue of existing clientsResponsible for short-term and long-term business planning; identify business opportunities for CBIZ in addition to their individual practiceRepresent the firm at networking events, local community activities, and participating in industry associations.
Identify opportunities to generate new business and expand revenue through client referrals and cross-selling firm services.
Manage practice effectively by meeting billing, realization, days outstanding and individual charge hour objectivesEnsure compliance and quality control standards are metAdditional responsibilities as assigned Preferred QualificationsMaster s degree in Accounting, Taxation or related fieldCPA license10
years experience in public accounting (tax or audit)Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative and inclusive culture.
Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance in the context of public accountingExcellent communication and business development acumen with proven success managing client relationships and driving revenue growth Minimum Qualifications Bachelor s degree required8 years of experience in public accounting or related field6 years of supervisory experienceMust have active CPA or equivalent certification#LI-AE1#LI-Hybrid.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
